
Entry Material for PCB Drilling and Routing Applications
SentryBoard™ Entry Material is constructed from high quality paper and a proprietary resin binding system. The material is consistently flat and smooth. The hard outer surface, supported by the relatively soft carrier, enables accurate centering when drilling micro holes. The consistency of the modified phenolic material is a premium grade with heterogeneous distribution of filler materials providing superior surface quality.
SentryBoard can be used for drilling or routing of all PCB’s but performs particularly well as entry material for problematic materials like PTFE, Flex Circuits and Aramids. Depending on the thickness of material, it may be used as backup in flex applications and/or entry material for the mechanical drilling of printed circuit boards. Using SentryBoard promotes good accuracy and good hole-wall quality without burring or hole-wall roughness.
